Pauls Place.
We have just been for an early dinner at Paul's Place (phase 4 Grey area, behind Toboganist), Daily set menu, 3 courses 11.95€. EXCELLENT starters actually home made ( soup & Alioli etc) and not out of a packet or worse Iceland, both had Steaks ( blue cheese & peppercorn sauces) as mains, cooked exactly as ordered, nice fresh veg, home cut chips, This place is well worth a try, La Marina Urb is full to the brim of mediocre at best restaurants. Paul's Place seems to be a welcome exception.
+1 I agree, Pauls place is well worth a try.
Paul is a nice guy, worked as a waiter for many years at Bonnies, he deserves to do well.
I wish I could agree.
My lady and our two friends were over the other week and I went in midweek to book a table for 4 for the Sunday night.
Imagine my disappointment when we approached to find the place in total darkness !
I deffo made the booking for Sunday and the lady understood me, oh well, they lost out on 60 ish + Euros, Grill house's gain.
If you like the grill house then you probably wouldn't have enjoyed your meal BigEd. I have never had a decent meal at the grill house (have been several times to check I wasn't being unfair as a lot of people rave about the place). The lady at Pauls Place speaks only a little English so it might have been worth trying a bit of Spanish to book your table. Days of the week and times are not that hard to remember. I would still recommend that everyone trys Pauls Place as everything is fresh and not bought frozen or from Iceland and they are only the second place on the urbanisation that can do me a blue steak properly.
Helsie,
I've only heard good reports about Pauls Place and will deffo give it another try sometime.
I did use a bit of Spanish to book my meal, (quatro personas , Domingo, tiempo, ocho) 4 people on Sunday at eight. She wrote it down but mustn't have realised, that they didn't open on Sundays.
Totally agree with these comments
We were there on Wednesday night and had a wonderful meal especially the very rare cooked steak which was mouth watering
Well worth a visit
